Software Engineer

Operations Team

SteadyRain is seeking a Software Engineer with a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in the technology field. This individual will play a critical role in the SteadyRain’s Development Team and must possess the ability to analyze, research, and develop framework around the use of the .NET web technologies. This candidate must embrace creating and evangelizing solutions that utilize DotNetNuke and other content management systems and development best practices.

In addition to technical requirements, this candidate must have the ability to establish and manage group project schedules to achieve delivery commitments as well as take on management responsibilities, which include performance management and reviews, mentoring, career planning, and overall direction for full-time and contract staff members. 

Key role will be the ability to participate and engage in Joint Application Development (JAD) procedures. JAD development will be centered on Software Project Engineering and interfacing directly with clients and SteadyRain’s strategy team.

Analysis Skills Including:

  • Evaluate and consult user requests for new or modified computer programs to determine feasibility, cost and time required, compatibility with current system, and computer capabilities. Submit a plan to user for approval.
  • Utilize tools and pre-coded modules available to develop, write and test structured programs.
  • Write documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and corrections.
  • Write manual for users to describe installation and operating procedures.
  • Monitor performance of program after implementation.
  • Assist users to solve operating problems through step recreation and program rewriting.
  • Analyze, review, and alter program to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.
  • Apply appropriate programming techniques to ensure thorough editing and validation of data, ease of maintenance for future modifications and enhancements, and efficient use of computer resources.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in the technology field. 
  • Minimum four (4) years of personal and project managerial skills, programming, administration and maintenance of software systems, technical analysis and .NET development experience. 
  • Minimum four (4) years of web development experience.

Position Requirements:
