The two teams first engaged with a comprehensive, collaborative consulting engagement to create the strategy for Hunter Engineering’s new multi-national website. This critical step in the development process included an evaluation of Hunter Engineering's business objectives, target audiences, product and services catalog, as well as a review of Hunter’s existing digital landscape.
SteadyRain then used the insights uncovered during consulting to build blueprints for a new website focused on leveraging the latest in web and mobile technology, building on Hunter Engineering's reputation as a true industry leader in innovation.
The new digital solution includes unique geo-centric visitor experiences, customized through IP address reverse look ups that provide users with region-specific information, including local representative contact information, specialized local content, upcoming events and training opportunities on both desktop and mobile devices.
This solution made the account and service teams more accessible to customers by allowing direct communication through several different outlets and has resulted in a 100% increase in lead flow from the site. The shift in website strategy to focus on accessibility and tailored information for users is expected to also contribute to increased internal efficiency across the organization by helping Hunter Engineering break through communication barriers.
In addition to the unique localization strategy, the website features a marketing product database that allows the Hunter Engineering marketing team to centralize all of the information needed for products in an organized database. This database allows comparisons between product for the public visitor to the site and a flexible, but ordered, approach to managing the manufacturer’s products as well as the marketing content around those products. This was an entirely new concept for Hunter as, previously, all marketing product information was, largely, stored as soft page content or in offline files.
The new website, developed using the DNN Evoq Content CMS, also adheres to responsive design best practices, ensuring audiences on all device types have an engaging online experience with the Hunter Engineering brand.
