SteadyRain is looking for a well-rounded Full Stack WordPress Developer to produce scalable software solutions. You will be part of a cross-functional team that is responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment. It is important to note, we are a Digital Agency and service clients across many different code bases, CMS applications and other web based applications and experiences. 

As a Full Stack Developer, you should be very comfortable around both frontend and backend coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries and have familiarity with various content management systems. You should also be a team player with a knack for form pixel perfect design and methodically designed user experiences. 

Duties And Responsibilities

Key Full Stack Developer duties include:
  • Participating in the design and creation of scalable web and mobile applications
  • Writing clean, well-commented, functional code on the front and backend
  • Testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues
  • Being versatile, accommodating and willing to think collectively – outside-of-the-box

Additional Responsibilities
  • Work with development teams and digital producers to ideate software solutions
  • Design client-side and server-side architecture
  • Build the frontend of applications through appealing visual design
  • Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications
  • Write effective APIs
  • Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
  • Create security and data protection settings


Qualifications


  • 3+ years’ experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role
  • Experience developing in WordPress
  • Experience developing desktop and mobile applications
  • Familiarity with common stacks as well as newer stacks (MEAN, MERN, Jamstack, etc.)
  • Knowledge of multiple frontend languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery)
  • Knowledge of multiple backend languages (e.g., C#, Java, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, Node.js)
  • Familiarity with databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL)
  • Familiarity with web servers and managed hosting (e.g. Apache, AWS, WP Engine, etc.) 
  • Familiarity with UX best practices, content modeling, and tools of the trade (e.g., Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch, etc.)
  • Experience or knowledge of different content management systems and their capabilities
  • Knowledge of website security, WAF and other security-based tools 
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Organizational skills
  • An analytical mind
  • Ability or interest to lead a team, create and facilitate best practices and lift up junior team members
  • Degree in Computer Science, Statistics or relevant field preferred
  • Must live in St. Louis metro area as some in-office time will be necessary
