ST. LOUIS – July 6, 2011 – SteadyRain, St. Louis based digital agency, announces national award win within the Business Marketing Association’s (BMA) 2011 B2 Awards. Success is attributed to the web development project for the Missouri Division of Tourism Website & Industry Portal.
The Missouri Division of Tourism (MDT) partnered with SteadyRain to enhance the way in which Missouri travel industry members submit tourism-related information to the state’s tourism website while enhancing visitors’ usability and navigation.
The site, which was once simply a listing management tool, now provides visitors with much more interactive content. Through the enhanced industry portal, industry members and members of the Division have the ability to quickly provide visitors with region-specific articles, trip ideas and coupon offers, in addition to the traditional event and travel listings that had been present on the site.

website to improve the system for both the tourists to our state and to the tourism industry members that make their stays here exciting and memorable,” said Thompson Knox, Executive Vice President, “It doesn’t hurt that we’ve got a great working relationship with the folks at the Division and with Hoffman | Lewis who provides much of the UI design for the site.”
As a result of the enhanced listing management tool, listing submissions increased approximately 35% within the first year of the website re-launch and the industry members have a renewed excitement over their state’s most important tourism marketing channel.
