SteadyRain has been awarded a W3 Award for its strategy and development of the Lake of the Ozarks Convention & Visitors Bureau’s website, www.FunLake.com.
Launched in May 2014, the website caters to online users seeking a fun, Midwest vacation by showing off the variety of attractions in the area. It also caters to folks looking to purchase vacation or permanent residency at the Lake by showcasing area businesses. The digital solution SteadyRain created features more than just fun activities for various target audiences at the Lake but also group tour information, relocation and local services information, expanding reach beyond what a typical convention and visitor’s bureau provides its visitors.
SteadyRain utilized the Open-Source Orchard CMS platform for development of the mobile- and web-optimized solution, allowing the Lake of the Ozarks CVB’s marketing team to more efficiently manage its digital content. Orchard’s CMS grants easy access to all of the site’s digital content, providing the staff with opportunities to easily add and edit content. This enhances the tourism organization’s digital strategy and helps facilitate better resources for its various target audiences.
Built responsively, the award-winning website caters to visitors on multiple device types, from smartphones to tablets to traditional desktop computers. SteadyRain helped the Lake of the Ozarks CVB create an edge over its competition through collaboration with JackRabbit, which provides hotel availability and reservations right from FunLake.com. This allows the organization’s target audiences to plan all details of a trip in one place.
