SteadyRain proudly announces the launch of a new website for St. Louis news publication, Small Business Monthly.
SteadyRain developed a professional and easily-accessible website to match Small Business Monthly’s existing branding. The website was developed using DNN Software’s DNN Platform open-source content management system. In addition to the custom DNN skin design, the agency finessed DNN modules to allow the publication’s editorial staff to efficiently upload, format, edit and market its stories. This upgraded functionality permits the team to shift focus to the more important business objectives — the publication’s articles themselves.
“SteadyRain was an ideal partner for us in revamping our website. We came to the table with some ideas and goals we wanted the site to achieve. They took those ideas and made the site a reality,” said Ron Ameln, Small Business Monthly President.
The new web design also features enhanced navigation focused on engaging the publication’s target audiences through a login option for readers. This functionality allows Small Business Monthly to provide custom content to subscribers based on their interests. A search option helps website visitors to find updated information on stories. By including Google Analytics support, SteadyRain provides opportunities for Small Business Monthly to identify website strengths and weaknesses, audience engagement opportunities and needed SEO (search engine optimization) modifications.
“Small Business Monthly is a staple within the St. Louis business community,” said Thompson Knox, SteadyRain President. “When Ron approached us with the opportunity to help him rejuvenate his digital strategy we were excited to be a part of the project. Updating the brand and helping SBM leverage an upgraded CMS to delivery its content to readers is what any print publication should be doing online—we’ve taken a lot of obstacles out the way of doing this for the team at Small Business Monthly.”
SteadyRain and Small Business Monthly anticipate increased online visitor engagement by increasing email news subscriptions as a result of the improved design and website functionality. Increasing the reach of push communications that get the knowledge articles within the magazine into a greater number of St. Louis business inboxes is one of the Monthly’s primary goals.
